HONCUT BRIDGE, SACRAMENTO, CA: REVOLUTIONIZING INFRASTRUCTURE MONITORING WITH EREBOS™
MONITORING STRUCTURAL HEALTH FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE
DarkPulse, in collaboration with the California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS), embarked on a groundbreaking pilot project to enhance infrastructure monitoring in California. The Honcut Bridge served as a key testing ground for DarkPulse’s cutting-edge EREBOS ™ BOTDA system, enabling real-time monitoring of structural health and temperature changes.
The Honcut Bridge construction provided an ideal opportunity to showcase the capabilities of DarkPulse’s EREBOS ™ BOTDA system. The system was initially deployed to monitor the temperature changes of concrete, ensuring proper curing during construction. Subsequently, the system remained in place to continuously monitor the 500m section of the bridge, assessing stress and strain on the structures and roadbed through composite rebar with embedded fiber optic cable.
Expanding Statewide Adoption
The success of the pilot project has paved the way for future installations. As the project expands across the State of California, DarkPulse anticipates deploying its innovative monitoring systems in additional bridges, both new and existing. The technology’s adaptability allows for retrofitting into existing installations, offering comprehensive safety coverage for vital assets.
